Inspired 2 Uplift, a pioneering initiative dedicated to promoting compassion and inclusion, recently concluded a successful Bubble Tea Fundraiser at MacNeill Secondary School this April. The event aimed to raise funds for the Disability Rights Fund, an organization that advocates for the rights of individuals with disabilities in developing countries. With the generous support of their partner, SunTea, the fundraiser amassed over $300 in profits, which will be solely donated to this outstanding cause later this month.
From Tuesday, April 18th to Tuesday, April 25th, the school's lounge at MacNeill buzzed with excitement as students, teachers, and community members placed their pre-orders for the delightful bubble tea varieties on offer. Taro Milk Tea, Lychee Tea, and Brown Sugar Milk Tea were among the choices, all freshly prepared by SunTea, a well-known bubble tea supplier.
The Bubble Tea Fundraiser not only provided a refreshing treat for students and teachers alike, but also showcased the spirit of unity and compassion within the school community. Inspired 2 Uplift's mission of fostering meaningful friendships between Life Skill students and their peers at MacNeill was at the heart of this initiative. By participating in the fundraiser, individuals not only contributed to a worthy cause but also forged connections and promoted inclusivity.
The partnership with SunTea played a crucial role in the fundraiser's success. SunTea's commitment to Inspired 2 Uplift's vision was evident through their generous contribution, enabling countless students in the Life Skills wing of MacNeill Secondary to enjoy complimentary bubble tea. Presidents Aidan, Ali, and Farzan of Inspired 2 Uplift expressed their gratitude for the overwhelming support from the community. President Aidan remarked, "We are thrilled by the response to our Bubble Tea Fundraiser. The incredible generosity displayed by our community members has shown that small actions can create a ripple effect of compassion and change." President Ali added, "The success of this fundraiser reaffirms our commitment to uplifting and empowering individuals with disabilities, fostering inclusivity and understanding." Lastly, President Farzan concluded our discussion by saying, "Together, we have made our impact in supporting the rights of people with disabilities across the globe, and I can confidently speak on behalf of everyone at I2U when I say that this is just the beginning for us.”
